Couple facing drug charges after passing out in hospital room

After passing out in her husband's hospital room, one woman has been arrested and the husband will be as well once he is released. The 34-year-old woman was allegedly found in her husband's room with a hypodermic needle stuck in her arm and a tourniquet wrapped around it. Several drugs were said to have been found in the room as well. Both the husband and wife will be facing drug charges in Louisiana.

Police: Felony charge says man had wife kidnapped and abused

There appears to be an increase of cases of marital disaffection so fierce that some spouses turn to hit men to murder or abuse, torture and/or blackmail their estranged spouses. Authorities recently arrested a Louisiana man and charged him with conspiracy to commit second-degree kidnapping, and a felony charge consisting of violating a protective order to not harm his wife. Police accuse him of hiring two criminals to storm into his wife's home, put a black bag over her head and kidnap her in the back of a van.

Wanted man arrested on more than one felony charge

A wanted man was detained in the state by police officers during a traffic stop this month. Police from Ponchatoula, Louisiana, attempted to arrest the man at his residence the day before, but he ran from them at that time. He was wanted on more than one felony charge by state police and parole officers.

Louisiana woman faces misdemeanor charges for DUI and more

A 22-year-old woman recently flipped her vehicle upside down in an intersection. She was cited for several misdemeanor charges after police found her sitting on the ground by the car, surrounded by onlookers. Upon arrival, the officer checked the woman over for injuries and made sure that she was alone in her vehicle in the Louisiana intersection.

Several arrested on charges of drug possession

According to a recent report, several arrests were made in the state after a tip came into the narcotics unit. The tip claimed that a lot of drugs were being taken into a Louisiana residence, and the narcotics unit was dispatched. Those arrested were charged with drug possession and other crimes.
