Louisiana man charged with dealing wily drug

A man from Metairie, Louisiana, was recently taken into custody by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office. The 33-year-old was slapped with drug charges after he was reportedly found to be dealing synthetic marijuana out of his home in the 200 block of Radiance Avenue. His charges were not made until about a month after the purported products were found in his home.

Officials said that on Nov. 20, police were preparing to check on the home of the 33-year-old. An anonymous tip informed the police that the 33-year-old was allegedly selling synthetic marijuana, a drug that is causing trouble for many state legislatures, including that of Louisiana. As police waited outside of the home, a man was reportedly seen leaving and counting something. Authorities stopped him and he told officers that he purchased the product from the 33-year-old.

Police and parole workers entered the home and supposedly found more than 40 grams of the controlled substance. Though he was taken into custody, he was not charged until tests determined that certain chemicals were found in the synthetic drug. Police may have also found marijuana at the apartment. He was charged with possession of that drug, in addition to his possession with intent to distribute.

The synthetic product was once sold in many stores before the legal system caught up. Most often, the drug is a dried plant sprayed with a chemical mixture that is likely manufactured overseas-acetone is included in that mixture. Consumers then smoke the drug and experience different side effects from doing so. Authorities have struggled to crack down on the drug because the chemicals used are frequently changed as the legislators make the contents illegal.

One of those illegal compounds is UR-144, which was reportedly found in the substance that the 33-year-old was supposedly attempting to sell. His bond was set at more than $10,000 but was allegedly guilty of parole violation, making him ineligible for release on bond.

Blogs of good lawyers are both helpful to readers and help to promote legal services. I read each your blog post to find out something new. And always find it. I think it would be great to see your posts in Attorney Blog on Attorney Online http://attorney-online.info/blog There is also an Attorney Directory where all good US attorneys can add their contacts. Lawyers shouldn’t pay for it. I think. Lots of your friends can be listed there…
