A Louisiana woman was recently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. In an unusual twist, she was in the process of attempting to post bail for her friend. Police claim the friend was a drunk driver as well, having been arrested and incarcerated about an hour before the woman made her way to help.

A man has been arrested after police claim that one of their own was injured due to the man's impaired driving. A 29-year-old man from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has been accused of DUI after a deputy suffered moderate injuries in a crash allegedly involving the accused. The officer was alongside the road, helping with another accident when the crash occurred.

Police say man found lying facedown in ditch was a drunk driver

A Louisiana man is facing charges after being found lying facedown in a ditch. The alleged drunk driver was said to have consumed as many as 20 beers before he crashed his pickup truck. Police say they found the man while responding to a disturbance complaint. His truck was found smashed against a nearby tree.

Drunk driver charged in wreck that injured 1-year-old

A man has been charged in a wreck that left his own 1-year-old son injured. The Louisiana father was allegedly drinking and driving in a pickup when he ran a stop sign. A state trooper reportedly witnessed the violation. The trooper also stated that he saw a baby in the front seat of the truck and the father smoking a cigarette. At the time, the trooper was not aware that it could be a drunk driver.

Police officer suspected of DUI in Louisiana is fired

A Louisiana police officer has been fired after charges that she was drinking and driving in her police cruiser. The public information officer in Mandeville was apparently terminated after she was investigated by internal affairs. She is suspected of DUI, after being found behind the wheel of her police cruiser with alcohol allegedly in her system. She apparently admitted to having a few drinks before driving the vehicle.

Cop threatens false DUI charges to sexually exploit women

Although most police officers are good men and women who risk their lives daily to protect and serve the public, there are a few who abuse the power of the badge. In the case of one Louisiana police officer, three plaintiffs were able to prove that abuse took place. Damages were awarded for the case in which an officer threatened to falsely accuse them of DUI if they did not expose themselves to him.
